B.Sc Catering Science & Hotel Management

About the Course :

The Department of Catering Science & Hotel Management was started in 1995 with 24 students. The department is a member of HERA, the Hoteliers, Educators & Recruiters Association. B.Sc Catering Science is three year degree course comprising of six semisters. It has well-equipped laboratories and enjoys cordial relationship with industry and leading chain of hotels like Taj groups, Club Mahendra, GRT group, Le Royal Meredian,Leela Palace, Hilton Trident groups, ISTA groups, Oberoi hotels, Radisson, Purple hotels and many more.

  • Tourism Management
  • Management papers – HRM, FBM
  • Communicative English & French
  • Computer Skill
  • Basic Accounts & Book keeping

Students are required to study French as the language under Part I . Students gain hands on experience during the food festivals organized by the Department on specific themes. Special workshops on vegetable Carving, Flower arrangement, Cookery competitions etc. prepare the students for the industry demands.

Internship:

Students are required to complete the industrial training for four months in the different department of the five star hotel. The department also extends help in placement for training and career. The college also offers a one year DIPLOMA in HOTEL and HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.
